Annuity Seminars Don't Work? Wrong! 2 Common Mistakes in Holding Annuity Seminars
Author: Ira Glasser
Many annuity salespeople think that annuity seminars are too much work with little benefit. This is simply not true. If done properly, annuity seminars can gain you upwards of 20 leads a month. Let's not focus on the things you should do with this article though. Here are 2 things NOT to do in your annuity seminar.
Do NOT Leave Seats Empty!
Filling every seat in the seminar is crucial to the final outcome. When prospects that are attending the seminar look around and see empty seats, they begin to question if THEY should be there. Leaving seats empty will give the other prospects the impression that the seminar is less important than if every seat was full.
You can use mailers to make sure you get the best attendance at each seminar. Send a post card with the date and time of the seminar. Be sure to include the key points that will be discussed at the seminar.
Do NOT Serve Food!
Keep from turning your prospects into a pack of Hyenas. Food is very expensive to provide for everyone attending and it provides absolutely no benefit to the seminar. In fact, it is detrimental. Food is a serious distraction. You want to keep 100% of the prospects' attention on you at all times, not on eating.
A great way to avoid this problem is to pick the right location. Never hold a seminar at a restaurant. This simply eliminates all thoughts of food in the prospects. Instead, hold the seminar in a library or conference room.
