How Women Get Better Deals on Car Insurance

Author: Janet Jeffreys

Good news for women drivers now car insurance for women premiums are coming down due to their great driving track record. In some areas of life and the marketplace you'd call it discrimination but in the insurance industry women often pay less for their car insurance simply because they have far less crashes than men.

Why Insurance Companies Give Women Drivers Slack

Insurance companies know women are less likely to be involved in an accident, less damage is caused to the car if involved in an accident, usually caused by a man and less likely to get a speeding ticket and the percentage rate for women passing their examination is much higher than men, all adding up to the fact that women are safer drivers and perhaps better drivers than men. Despite what the men will tell you.

Car insurance for women then is cheaper than for men unless the women is rather unique and has an atrocious track record or is purchasing a prestigious car. So if you're a women out there looking for the best car insurance for women quotes or insurance companies that have special lower premiums for women, best to arm yourself with confidence about the statistics. Today with the car industry slowing down, it's also slowed down people taking on new car insurance so you have some room to bargain. And if the insurance company won't play ball, move on to the next one.

When you have such an obvious bargaining card in your hand, it pays to play it. Of course bargaining is not something North American folks are use to when purchasing anything least of all insurance. Many people all over the world know of no other way of purchasing but to enter into a bargaining, negotiating banter. Something we Americans could do well to learn particularly when it comes to all sorts of insurance not just car insurance for women. In today's economy it really does pay to investigate the competition and play your ace card. So that comes down to building confidence in your ability to represent yourself.

Bottom line, insurance companies take a lot of our money from us over a long period of time. Your car insurance company may see you through a number of purchases throughout your life. Find a way to pluck up the courage to let them know what suits you and what you are prepared to settle for. Remember whether it's car insurance for women or medical insurance of any kind, the insurance company has competition and they are selling their product to you, not the other way around.
